DOULA SERVICES
PregnancyDuring our prenatal visits, we'll go over your plans, hopes, and fears about your upcoming birth. We'll create a birth plan that fits your family's needs and discuss how to share your wishes with your care provider. We'll discuss the physiology of labor and birth, options for pain management during labor, and review resources for childbirth education and preparing for birth.

BirthWhen your birthing time begins, I'll join you and your partner at your home or birth place (your preference) and remain with you until a few hours postpartum. I will provide continuous, dedicated, one-on-one support throughout your labor and delivery and remain with you until breastfeeding is established and mom and baby are ready to rest.

PostpartumWithin the first two weeks of life, I'll stop by your home to visit. This is a great opportunity to review the details of the birth while they are fresh in your mind. It's also a wonderful opportunity to check in on how breastfeeding is going and to discuss the resources available in our community for new moms/parents.
